I’d like to introduce you to Erica and Franchel (‘Frnch’).
Erica and I hit it off right away. Her personality is bubbly and contagious. I can’t help but smile and adore her. For a young woman who holds together a household with 3 young boys, full time work and night school (and now planning a wedding), she is as strong as she is caring.
Frnch is active, creative and brilliant. He’s the type of man that doesn’t slow down because there are too many ideas and inspirations to see flourish. As a natural leader combined with his deep passion for cars and art push him forward as the owner of a clothing line, Rainset, and leader of a car group. He organizes rides and races that attract herds of fellow car enthusiasts.
Erica and Frnch met through mutual friends at a Christmas Eve party in 2013. They kept in touch and eventually started dating 6 months later. Watching these two together has been delightful. They are a wonderful combination of adventure and reliability, goofiness and ambition, they dare to let themselves dream while fully dedicated to the hard work that will get them there. I have watched them encourage one another, work through decisions together and light up when they talk about their family life.
Erica was nervous about their engagement session. She sent me a dozen text messages about location and clothing options. She wanted it to be perfect! And it was! We met at the ACE hotel in Palm Springs for a relaxed hipster style engagement session. The resort was quiet that day allowing us to roam at ease and allowing them to let loose and have fun together without an audience. Frnch practiced dipping Erica for their wedding day until they mastered it. Mostly, it was Erica learning to let Frnch lead 😉 They danced in the walk ways and made each other laugh in front of the fireplace. While they were mostly enthralled with each other, they also soaked in the serenity the Ace Hotel offered with the surroundings of palos verde trees and a mountain backdrop. And how perfect is it that the day we were at The Ace their sign read “Together is better”. It certainly is!
It has been a pleasure helping Erica with her wedding plans, offering suggestions and making sure often overlooked questions were addressed in order to ensure a stress-free wedding day. With the family and friends as the top priority in their wedding, it’s going to be an enchanting evening under the stars at a private estate nestled in the hills of Morongo Valley. You won’t want to miss it when their wedding blog is posted!
