We’re excited to announce that Lisa and Steve’s intimate backyard wedding has been featured in the Real Wedding section of the TheKnot.com!
Family, both biological and chosen, molds us into who we are. They help guide and support us, comfort us and encourage us. Lisa and Steve’s wedding was truly a colorful and elegant affair that epitomized the true essence of love and support from those who matter most. They rented a home in Rancho Mirage, California for their backyard celebration with only 18 of their closest family and friends that could make the trip from all over the country. Their guests were important to them, so they wanted to make sure their trip and the party was a treat for them as well. Lisa did a fantastic job at pulling together multiple details to create a visually stunning evening with the glow of a Palm Springs sunset and under the stars. She devoted thought to how to incorporate family who could not make it: both those who passed by incorporating their pictures into her bouquet, a family tree of pictures on display and her mother on Skype on an iPad, so she could still watch their vows.
David Rohr Floral Studios never fails to impress with a visual treat. The rod-iron arch was embellished with gorgeous purple, light pink and ivory colored flowers. The table settings glowed with purple and blue colored glass, plates and linens. And there were lanterns throughout the yard offering a soft light to guide them through the night as the latin jazz and windpipes danced in the back ground, provided by the Inka Kings.
