I was really looking forward to photographing Kim and Phil’s engagement session. We had only met via a virtual conference to discuss their wedding plans. I was looking forward to meeting them in person and spending a few hours to get to know them better. It was a great time! They were fun hang out with, easy to pose and relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Can’t wait for their Costa Mesa garden wedding in October.
When Kim and I began stylizing their engagement session, she asked for a location with lots of big trees. Well, being Palm Springs based we are fresh out of forests. So, Luke and I did some research, scouted a few parks and botanical gardens in the Orange County/ Los Angeles area and sent her a few options. They decided on a park in the heart of Fullerton, Ca. I’ve driven by it hundreds of time, but never stopped to see just how large the park really is and all that it offers. I was surprised. The surrounding city almost disappeared. The weather was perfect, there were plenty of trees, a lake, baby ducks, and a glowing sunset. All of which only enhanced a loving couple that knows how to have fun together.
I’m looking forward to their October wedding at the Promenade Event Centre & Gardens!
