Desert foliage and green grass against the mountain backdrop is a timeless setting for any Palm Desert family portrait session. Krysta recommended Ironwood Park in Palm Desert for her portraits. It was a wonderful location that offered a variety of backdrops while being a little more hidden and quiet compared to most parks. And for her little ones, it was perfect to let them run and play so that we could photograph their truest expressions of themselves.
Krysta won a family portrait session at the 2014 Princess Tea and Silent Auction benefiting The Refuge Pregnancy Center of Coachella Valley. What a great organization to support! The Refuge Pregnancy Center provides guidance, support, classes and various resources for pregnant women who need someone to turn to. The princess tea was a mother-daughter event filled with wonder and fantasy. A red carpet led ladies of all ages into a room of disney princess glamour from the table tops to stage and, of course, disney princesses to greet, dance, sing and bring bright eyes and a smile to every face in the room.
I sat in the park waiting for Krysta and her family to arrive. It was a wonderful greeting as I watched 2 children jump out of the car and practically run up in excitement. And not just for the playground, but actually ready to be photographed. The next two hours we ran, jumped, played on rocks, climbed trees, blew bubbles, played on the swing set, and even had a visit from ‘godzilla’ and the tickle monster. Oh, the energy and imagination of little ones!
