The best part of an engagement session is building the relationship with your photographer. Having a relationship with them will create an relaxed and fun atmosphere and ultimately will create better portraits. This is a tip I share with every couple I meet: You MUST meet your photographer to ensure you are a good match for each other. From the very first meeting with Mary and Louie, I knew we would get along splendidly. They are a fun and relaxed couple. They have an idea of what they want, but their priorities are straight and can laugh through life.
So, it was no surprise that our engagement session with Mary and Louie was full of laughs, good conversations and beautiful scenery. We met Mary and Louie at the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Such a beautiful location full of rich textured architecture and lush landscaping.
Louie and Mary had known each other for a few years as acquaintances thru Louie’s sister. After some time and life’s twists and turns, they became good friends. Gradually, their love continued to grow progressing them to dating and now ready for marriage.
Louie had planned a trip to Yosemite in which he planned to propose. However, plans changed and he had to cancel his trip. That same year, Mary planned a surprise 40th birthday party for Louie. Little did she know, the surprise was for her. Louie is fairly private guy. She never expected him to propose in front of other people.
Due to the mission’s hours, we had some time between their closing and sunset so we had dinner at a close by mexican restaurant before going to a nearby area for sunset.
What a great time! Mary and Louie are wonderful people that anyone would love to be friends with. We’re anxious and excited for their wedding day!
